OUT TO LOWER RECORD [ Australian Press Ayan. ] PARIS, Sept. 27. Costes and Belleconte left Le Bourget in ‘an attempt to make a record non-stop flight in a monoplane of 600 horse power with a capacity of 1200 gallons of petrol. They hope to be aloft for fifty hours and cover 5500 miles in the direction of Japan.

A later message states that the Frenchmen, Captains Costes and Belleconte, left Lc Bourget on Friday in an attempt to beat the world’s non-stop air record, their objective being Harbin. They are using a modified Broquet machine equipped with a 600 horse power Hispano-Suiza engine.
