SPEECH DEFECT CLASSES

PROVE VERY EFFECTIVE. [ Per Pi ess Association. 1 DUNEDIN, Aug. 22. The speech defect classes conducted for the Otago Education Board by Miss Williams have proved very effective. It was reported by the chief inspector to-day that one pupil, who is deaf and was formerly speechless, has learned lip reading and can now speak correctly. Similar success has been achieved in cases of stammering, cleft palate and dumbness.
