St. John’s Hill School The matter of altering the boundaries of the St. John’s Hill School district was briefly mentioned at the meeting of the Wanganui Education Board yesterday, but was deferred for the time being. Off to New Plymouth.

A number of Rugby enthusiasts intend travelling to New Plymouth on Saturday to see the return match between the Wanganui and Taranaki representative Rugby fifteens. The Railway Department’s special train, returning from New Plymouth after the match affords these enthusiasts an excellent chance of making the return trip in comfort in one day. With a view to warning ratepayers in th© Wanganui County that stock must not be allowed to graze on the road, action was taken against John Mclntyre at the Magistrate’s Court on Monday for herding and grazing cattle on the Marybank road. The defendant said that he was driving from one paddock to another. The County did not press for a heavy penalty, and a nominal fine of 10s, with costs 9s 6d, was imposed.
