Les.' than hail oF Fort Nicholson consignment sold yet. Large quantities of English apples and otifcr English and Continental fruits now arriving and selling cheaply. Current prices for N.Z. are: Stunner Pippin 10s to 16s per case. Bo.kewood and Dougherty 12s to 18s per case. Indications point to lower prices later on. “Eggs: Market quiet but steady. Present quotations are: English 15s to 22s per long 100; Dutch, Danish and French 12s to 17s 6d; Belgian 14s to 14s 6d; Polish 9s 9d to Ils 3d. “Hemp: Manila market easier owing to adjustments. Statistics show large increase in stocks. Closing values for “J” grade September/ November shipments £3B 10s. Sisal; Market quiet. Value No. 1 good marks £4l 10s; No. 2 £4O to £4O ss. New Zealand: Continued enquiry for Highpoints but shippers unable to offer on account of lack of supplies. Buyers show no disposition to operate in lower grades at prices asked. Comparath closing values are: Highpoints £35; Fair £32; Common £3O 10s. Tow second grade £22; third grade £l7 15s«
