Tuhorekea H: .eiha, was stated by Senior-Sergeant McLean’, in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, to be more or less of . a hoodlum. Hereiha was charged with the theft of motor-cycle acessories to the value of £3O. The accused pleaded guilty to the offence The Senior-Sergeant stated that the owner of the cycle, Charles Murch was riding towards Kakatahi on April 8 when a collision occurred, as the result of which he was taken to the hospital The cycle was left on the road and 'the police were to take charge, but, before they could do so, it was stripped of almost everything removable. He suggested that the accused be placed on probation. He had a dislike for the constable at Raetihi, and it would be a lesson to him, if he had to report to him. ‘ ‘As you are only 18 years of age, said Mr J. H. Salmon S.M., “and this is the first offence you will be placed on probation for twelve months. It must be inderstood that you make full restitution and you are warned that, if you don’t behave yourself, you will be brought up and dealt with. ’ ’
