LOSS OF LIFE IN AMERICA REPORTS FROM TWO STATES f Australian Press Assn. ] Received August 19, 9 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 18. Seventeen persons were killed and 69 injured in train wrecks on Sunday in the States of Oklahoma and Michigan.
OBITUARY WILLIAM DRAKE WELL-KNOWN JOURNALIST [ Australian Press Assn. ] Received Aug. 19, 11 p.m, SYDNEY, Aug. 19. The death is reported of Mr William Drake, aged 82, formerly member of Hansard staff and a journalist in New Zealand and New South Wales.
