WORD-FAMOUS BOOK
BAN IMPOSED IN AUSTRIA SPIRIT OF TROOPS MAY SUFFER (Australian Press Assn.) Received Aug. 19, 11 p.m. VIENNA, Aug. 19. The Minister of War has banned the world-famous book “All Quiet on the Western Front,” from all barracks, as it is thought likely to impair the .spirit of the troops. It is pointed out that it shows only the shady side of the war.
