The programmes arc out for the New Zealand golf championship meeting of 1929, to bo held on the Belmont links from Friday, September 27, to Saturday, October 5, under the control of the New Zealand Golf Association and the management of the Wanganui Golf Club. Events to be contested are the open championship of New Zealand, of which Sloan Morpeth is the holder—a contest open to any professional or amateur golfer in or beyond New Zealand; the amateur championship of New Zealand, of which T. H. Horton is the holder, open to all affiliated clubs in New Zealand, and any recognised clubs outside it; the amateur championship foursomes of New Zealand, of which K. Ross and C. B Wight, of Otago, are the holders; the professional championship foursomp of New Zealand, of which A J. Shaw and J. * A. Clements are the holders; U 6 Earl Jellicoe Cup, for the best single round (amateur and professional) in the open championship, of which T. H. Horton and E. 8. Douglas the the holders; the professional championship, of which A, J. Shaw (Napier) is the holder; the O’Rourke Interclub Challenge Vase, of which the Otago Club aro the holders; a long-driving competition, open to amateurs and professionals.
