MORE CONFERENCES

Life is, of late, just one conference after another: and the next really big’un, the details of which are soon to be discussed by the National Council of Women at a conclave in Alasterton, will be held at Kyoto. Every nation, from the Cannibal Islands up, on whose shores even one w’ave of the Pacific Ocean will consent to curl, is to be represented, and if the world doesn’t look out it will find itself well and truly reformed, for energetic to the ninth degree are the ladies of the National Council, and of other women’s organisations which are sure to be represented. Southern delegates arc packing their boxes for the Alasterton gathering. Among them is Airs Fraser, of Christchurch, who is the National Council’s shining light in the Cathedral city.
