A CROQUET CLUB ENTERTAINMENT

Last Wednesday evening, Mrs Warnock, president of the Gonville Croquet Club, entertained at her home some sixty members and friends. Accommodation was provided for sixteen tables of progressive 500 players, Mesdames Astbury, Young, Boyd, Grover, Beard, Mullins, Drake, Wishart, Gilbert, WebbJones, Wainwright, Moutray, Thomson, Michie, Fisher, and Miss Aslin being responsible for providing the players. Mr C. Moutray ably assisted as M.C. At the close of the evening, Mrs Warnock expressed the club’s thanks for the financial success of the evening. Mr Astbury, on behalf of the gathering, thanked Mr, Mrs and Miss Warnock for a very happy evening, and this was confirmed with musical honours. Mr Warnock replying.
