WANGANUI CONFERENCE The. general meeting of the Society of Friends (Quakers) in New Zealand was opened on Friday at the Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill. Delegates arrived from various parts of North and South Islands. At the sitting on Friday evening the delegates were welcomed by the headmaster of the school. Several visitors from overseas were then welcomed by New Zealand Friends, including Miss Jennie Street. Lucy F. Morland, Rachel M. Rutter and Sara Renton. Most of them brought minutes or letters from Friends’ meeting in England.
