General situation: An ante-cyclone still extends between New Zealand and Eastern Australia. There is evidence of a cyclone developing north of Cape Maria. Forecast: Winds, moderate To strong, increasing to gale force at places. Seas (New Zealand waters) rather rough north of East Cape, elsewhere smooth to moderate. The weather will bo cloudy and unsettled north of Kawhia and Gisborne, with rain developing elsewhere. Mainly fair at first, but unsettled conditions gradually extending southwards. Cold night temperatures with inland frosts in the South Island, but milder to-morrow.
