BULLS LINTON WINS McKELVIE CUP. [ Special “Chronicle” Service 1 At Ohakea on Friday evening Linton Miniature Kifle Club team (challengers) defeated Ohakea (holders of the McKelvie Cup) by a single point. Shooting was remarkably good for this period of the season, and the match keenly contested the result being in doubt until the last bullet winged its flight to the target. Scores were as follows:

Supper was afterwards served at the Ohakea Hall, and Air K. Bailey presented the cup to the captain of the winning team, congratulating members of the Linton Club on their success. Bulls M.R. C. have a challenge in for the cup, and the match will probably be fired this week. M.B.C. EUCHRE. There was a large attendance at the Bulls M.R.C. euchre tournament, held on Friday night. Prize-winners were: Lady’s prize, Airs F, G. Wilson; gent’s prize. Air H. Lunn; consolation prizes, Mrs A. Blanchard and Air Al. Hunia. PAREWANUI TOURNEY. A euchre P“i’ty was held at Parewanui on Friday evening in aid of the school funds. There was a very good attendance, and prizes were won as follows: —Lady’s prize. Airs H. Holland; gent’s prize, Mr D. Brookie; consolation prizes, Airs Alarumaru and Air George Tekko. The prizes were kindly donated by Air and Airs J. Alarumaru. Golf. All golf matches were postponed on Saturday owing to the death of the Club’s patron, Sir James Wilson, On Wednesday a ladies’ bogey competition will be played. RANGITIKEI LODGE. The regular fortnightly meeting of Rangitikei Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was held on Alap 2 N.G. Bro. Forbes presiding over a fair attendance of members. Two candidates for membership were elected. The secretary was instructed to write and secure the services of the Degree Alaster, to confer degrees on next Lodge night if possible. All members holding offices are requested to learn their charges for the initiation ceremony on Alay 16. Cards —After th© meeting a match was played between Orient Lodge (challengers) and Rangitikei Lodge (holders of the Mathieson Shield), Rangitikei proving winners by 22 games to 14. The next challengers are Kopane Lodge. RUGBY. Afarton and Bulls juniors will meet on Bulls Domain on Wednesday. As both teams are showing good form, a fine game is anticipated. Next Saturday will see the above senior teams meet at Bulls.
