His Excellency, the Goveror-General, Sir Charles Fcrgusson, fishing in the Tongariro River yesterday, secured thirteen beautiful rainbow tout, the largest being a ten-pounder. The fish averaged six and threequarter pounds. Fishing again this morning before breakfast, His Excellency landed a further four fish, the largest being a ten-pounder The other two rods in this party have done almost equally as well as His Excellency, a total of thirty-five fish being landed in a clay and a-half. Alany other anglers, residing at Asher’s camp, hav e had excellent sport. Resulting from the recent floods, the sport has not been bettor at any stage of the season, and should continue to the end of the month.
