Gallery Attendance. The attendance at the Serjeant Gallery last month totalled 970, of which 104 were local visitors and 866 were visitors from elsewhere. The largest attendance for one day was on Easter Monday, April 1, when the total was 156, including 13 local visitors. The interest taken in the Gallery is demonstrated by the fact that on Thursday the visitors came from Australa, South Africa and England, as well as all parts of New Zealand. Tourist Traffic. Norfolk Island appears to be a popular holiday resort for AVanganui residents, judging by inquiries at the AVanganui branch of the Government Tourist Department. Accommodation on the passenger steamer Maui Pomare for August, is fully taxed, and there is a number of AVanganui people awaiting favourable travelling conditions. The object of visiting the island 1 at ./his time of the year is to enjoy its favourable climate when New Zealand’s winter is developing.
