ATTEMPTED SUICIDE

YOUNG MAN CHARGED [ Per Press Association. J DJJNEDIN, April 17. In the Police Court a young married man (whose name was suppressed), and the son of a North Island clergyman, was charged with attempted suicide and obtaining from George Walker at Auckland £3B by falsely representing that some furniture was his property. It was shown that accused suffered, an injury at birth and this hurt his mentality. He had studied as a medical student and also had been a teacher. The -Magistrate said it was practically a border line case. The accused was ordered to come up for sentence within 12 months, a condition being that he entered a mental hospital as a voluntary patient.
