SPIRITUALISM
Sir,—I often notice in your paper letters and leading articles under the head of Spiritualism; generally trying to cry it down. It seems to me the writers do not know anything about it. I may here tell you that I have had many years experience with a trance-sensitive, giving absolute proof that there is no death. I have had many prove themselves to me, many a stranger in the audience of 200 would get absolute proof, and some from the spirit of friends who received a kind action from a person present when both were in a foreign country. Also the spirit (X Alasonic brothers would come and make Alasonic signs. The sensitive knew nothing about it. There are no secrets on the other side.
Now all our meetings were conducted under a full light presided over by a well-known citizen and a secretary with vocal and instrumental music. Alany professors, scientists and ancient spirits would control the sensitive and give us grand lectures.
■' We learnt that our conscience is our punishment, that memory- is not lost when we cast off this mortal self. Memory belongs to the spirit because spirits can tell all their past. They also know what is going on on this earth. There is no hell; there is no devil; there is no gain by taking one's own life; there is neither obstruction nor destruction of the real self (the spirit.) I have had clairvoyant views, am not a test sensitive, I can not prove anything to you, only what I have written is the truth.—Yours, etc , A SPIRITUALIST. (Our correspondent after “many years' experience with a trancc*sensitive, giving ‘absolute proof’ that there is no death” has to conclude his letter with the frank confession “I cannot prove anything to you.”—Ed. Chronicle.)
