PIGEON FLYING
WANGANUI CLUB RACE FROM FRANKTON. The Wanganui Flying Club held a race from Frankton (148 miles) on ►Saturday afternoon. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 10 a.m. and had a slight north-westerly breeze behind them with changeable weather on the journey. Although the conditions were not. favourable for a fast velocity the birds were home soo nafter 1-30 p.m. J. Edmonds gained first, place with Jas. Patterson second and C. Willacy third. The following are the velocities recorded:—
