GREAT FIRE IN EDINBURGH
BUSINESS PREMISES DESTROYED. [ Australian Press Assn. 7 LONDON, Jan. 8. One of the biggest fires in Edinburgh of recent years destroyed the Bankers’ Clearing House on the north ide of St. Andrew’s Square, overlooking the Scottish Portrait Gallery, ..nd several large insurance companies’ offices. Fortunately the absence of wind enabled other buildings to be saved.
