In the semi-finals of the Victorian tennis championships Hopnian beat Schlesigner 6-4, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1. Crawford beat Gregory (England) 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 8-6. Playing brilliant tennis, Crawford (New South Wales) defeated Hopman in the finals of the Victorian Singles Championship yesterday 5-7, 6-2, 6-3, I 6-4. 1 Crawford and Hopman easily won the
Men’s Doubles Championship, defeating Dunlop and Donohue (New South Wales) 6-2, 6-1, 6-3. In the Women’s Singles Championship Aliss Cox (New South Wales) beat Airs Harper (Victoria) 6-8, 6-1, 7-5. In the Women’ s Doubles Championship Mrs Conway and Aliss Cox (New South Wales) boat Alisses Alercer and Lo Alessurier (South Australia) 6-2, 6-2. I Thus the New South Wales players carried all three finals before them.
