But each child seems to m dreams, A golden moon whose shimmering beams. Are but the pathway of Santa ClaUH* sleigh, Which comes all a-jingling, With bells all a-tingling. From Fairyland on its way. They hear birds coo, and waking cows moo, And a smart little bunny say "goo," To the sower of Goodwill and Good Cheer, Whose name is Santa Claus dear. Out of bed they scramble, to the fireplace amble. And eager hand-i at stockings pull; Each gives a happy sigh; from Polly comes a cheery cry. Of, “I’ve got a dolly, a toy trolley, And a bag of lollies full.” Tim’s got a gun, and a cricket bat; Jim has a meccano and a clown’s tall hat ; And Molly was given a golly and a coloured ball.
