MEMBER'S LONG SPEECH

PARIAMENT IN AUSTRIA OPENING TAKES FIVE DAYS LONDON, Dec. 3. A speech by the Socialist deputy Herr Leuthner against the Austrian Government’s Rent Reform Bill has now lasted five days, and will be resumed to-morrow, says the Vienna correspondent of the Sunday Times. Herr Leuthner says that he hopes soon to finish the introductory matter. The Socialists proudly acclaim the feat, but others emphasise the fact that *he Austrian Fascists are already restless under the time-wasting proclivities ot Parliament, and Herr Leuthner’s obstructionism will merely encourage the carrying out of their threat to attack Parliament by physical force.
