TRIBESMEN AGAIN ATTACK JALLALABAD

Rebel Shinwari tribesmen again attacked Jallalabad, but were repulsed by the Afghan rnson after a fierce fight, in which there were several hundred casualties. Buildings previously wrecked in the city by the tribesmen include the British post office ami Civil Servicequarters. Al any new cars and lorries, the property of the State, were burned. The road from Peshawar to Jallalabad is infested with raiding gangs and is unsafe without escorts, Afghan reinforcements are hurrying to the area for an advance against the wild tribal country.
