Under-Secretary of tlx Board of Trade, stated in the House of Common- that his d apartment had decided to hold an inquiry into all tlio circumstances of the disaster. The in quiry would cover certain allegations made regarding defects in the lifebelts worn by the 'lead lifeboatmen.
