The Minister for Immigration, denies published reports that the Canadian Government has rejected Lord Lo vat’s ini mi gra ti on scheme. “The Lovat propofhls have not been fully considered by the Dominion Government, and no decision of any kind has been reached,” says the Minister. The extension of a free passage to boys and girls up to 19 years of age belonging to agricultural families in Britain, who are coming to Canada for farm work, has been announced by the Immigration Department. For the past three years the free passage has been given in such cases between 14 and 17 years.
