A development of interest in the motion picture and radio world is the bringing of a high-powered radio station into the grounds of the largest mo tion picture studio in Hollywood. With the recent announcement that the radio station KNX. operated by the Los Angeles Evening Express, would build a new station and increase its power tenfold, came thc news that the broadcast station would b e located in the ground of thc Paramount Famous Lasky Corporation in Hollywood

The motion picture company wili broadcast the usual programmes and will act also as a news station, givinb the latest information concerning the. various players and stars. In this way direct and oral contact will be kept up with th e thousands of motion picture lovers throughout the world. Under the new arrangement with Paramount, KNX becomes a 5,000 watt station. Formerly it was operated on 500 watts. Broadcasting from the new station was put into operation on Sepember 1.
