YOUTH S DEATH

FOUND ON FOXTON ROAD HIT BY PASSING CAR [ Per Press Association ] PALMERSTON N., Nov. 1. A motor cyclist proceeding along the Foxton line at an early hour this morning discovered the body of a youth lying across the road. It was too late to avoid running over him, with the result that the motor cyclist was thrown from his machine, but was unhurt. Going back he found the youth, James iSehvyn Chappe’l, aged 20 years, seriously injured, having evidently beet knocked down by a passing car or cycli just previously. Aledical aid was summoned but Chappell died from the effects of a fractured skull. Deceased evidently had no warning, as his hands were still in his pod ets. It is understood that his mother resides at Whangarei.
