WANGANUI ASSOCIATION VISIT TO NEW PLYMOUTH TO-DAY SPECIAL MEETING ON MONDAY’. The members of Kempthorne-Pros-ser’s Football Club senior team will journey to New' Plymouth to-day to play a return match with the Caledonian Football Club. The party will be under the management of Mr Campbell, and will travel by private cars. Schoolboys’ The Schools Challenge cup has been finally won by the Avenue School, who by one goal to nil, and, successfully resisting a challenge by the Ararnoho School, emerged victors by three goals to nil. Both games were played on Victoria Park, and were refereed by Mr J. Glover, for whose able services the Association tender their thanks. General Meeting. A special general meeting of the Association will be held on Monday night. October 8, in the Y.M.C.A. rooms al 7.30. To this all members of the senior and junior associations and supporters are cordially invited. There are two matters for discussion, and the Association management committee, in convening this open meeting, are desirous of hearing the opinions of all those interested. The first matter for discussion is what manner shall be adopted for the official wind-up of the season and presentation of trophic*?. Last year a dance was staged and was most successful. The second item is a proposal for running a five-a-side tournament, on October 13. These tournaments create great interest, anf are most thoroughly enjoyed.
