McWhinncy. T. Bashill (Wellington). A Hamilton message states that cable news was received yesterday of the death in England of Air Oliver R. Farrell, engineer and surveyor, a member of the Hamilton Council and the Cathedral Chapter, aged 43. He leaves a widow and throe daughters. A Sydney cable message reports the death of Captain C. Spinks, formerly master of some of the Union Co.’s vessels, aged 69. Ho was master of thc Talune when he earned fame for salvaging the Perthshire in June, 1889, when that vessel was given up as lost. Captain Spinks was afterwards chief surveyor for the Marine I T nderwritors.
