GOLF [ Special ‘'Chronicle” Service J During the week-end a team from Taumarunui consisting of thirteen p ayers (three ladies, 10 men), visited Raetihi, the home team winning by one game. The weather was cold, and showery, but later in the afternoon owing to a heavy rain setting in two games in the ladies’ division were unfinished. The following are the results, Taumarunui being mentioned first: — Halford lost to Crawford 3 and 1. Putowera beat Murray 3 and 2. Gilpin and Ritchie all square. Richter lost to Baird 4 and 3. Grant beat Urwin 3 and 2. Coker and Long all square. ►Seaton lost to Blyth 6 and 5. Bakewell beat Eaton 3 and 2. King lost to Davies 2 and 1. Wood lost to Ironside 2 and, 1. Mrs Richter and Mrs Murray, unfinished. Miss Macpherson beat Mrs Windle 2 and 1. Miss Seaton and Miss Cracroft Wilson. unfinished.
