Air Marshal Sir John Salmond, air officer commanding tin* air defences of Great Britain, will arrive in Auckland. by the A orang i next Monday. He has been in Australia for some months past investigating th**, question of air defences and transport. While in New Zealand, Sir John will meet officials of the Government and will inquire into aviation in the Dominion. He will be met at Auckland by Major T. Wilkes, director of air services in New Zealand, and Captain L. M. Isitt, officer in charge of the airdrome at Hobsonville.
