HEADMASTERS’ CONFERENCE [ Per Press Association I CAMBRIDGE, Hept. 17. At a conference of headmasters of district high schools in South Auckland, a resolution was passed that the salaries of assistant teachers of junior and senior sccorvlpry classes in district high schools should be equal to those of assistants doing similar work in secondary schools, and further, that, in view of their qualifications and responsibility, the headmasters of district and junior high schools were inadequately paid, and the remuneration should approximate more closely that of the headmasters of secondary schools.
The resolution will be sent to the AEinister t of Education through the Educational Institute.
