“THANKS FOR THE BUGGY RIDE”
STARRING LAURA LA PLANTE AND GLENN TYRONN.
A great comedy team has been formed in Laura La Plante and Glenn Tyronn, who will go through their paces in “Thanks for the Buggy Ride,” coming to the Grand. Tryonn as a song composer, and Miss La Plante as the inspiration for his syncopated sins, may sound a mild and lawabiding couple, but they cause the hairs of all publishers to raise on end like quills upon the fretful porcupine. And they also cause their audiences to laugh loud and long. It is an immensely diverting bit of foolery, done in the best Tryonn manner, which means a cocky youth who can’t be crushed. The romantic interest is good, but it’s the comedy that makes the picture. Kate Price has an important part.
