AT DRILL HALL TO-NIGHT BIG BOXING ATTRACTION STIRRING CONTESTS EXPECTED At the Drill Hall this evening what promises to be one of the finest amateur boxing tournaments held in Wanganui for many years will be staged by the local Association and a record crowd should witness the events. Everything has been (kmc to make the tourney a success, and a peep in at the incal gymnasium during the the week disclosed marked evidence that the contestants have been training seriously for the rights. In some of the work-outs surprisingly good form was shown and the boxers’ keenness and desire to give of their best will please the fans. With Adams. Carlson, O ’Keefe, Scown, Clegg, Corliss, Clarke and a host of other equally good boxers, some stirring and wi ling fights arc anticipated, and patrons may rest assured that their comfort will be one of the paramount considerations of the executive. As the prices for admission are ex ccptionally reasonable, a large crowd should attend and it is up to every local boxing enthusiast to assist the Association to further the marked success which has lately rewarded their efforts to revive the sport in this citv.
