MISS O. KAY O.K. SAY TRAVELLERS
JiEW ZEALANDERS BACK FROM AUSTRALIA [ Per Press Association ] AUCKLAND, Aug. 14. Miss Muriel Payton and Miss Snodgrass returned to Auckland from Sydney this morning after having taken part in the Australian ladies’ golf championships. Both are convinced the New Zealand handicaps are at least two or three strokes too low compared with Australia. Miss Payton said Miss Mona McLeod, ex-champion and Australia’s best player, was on a two mark while Mrs Gatehouse, who won the championship last Friday, is on a four mark. Against these Miss Olive Kay was on scratch and Miss Payton on one. The travellers were dc’ighted with Abe performances of Miss Kay.
