WANGANUI EAST CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The annual meeting of the Wanganui East Bowling Club was held on Thursday night in All Saints' schoolroom, about 40 members being present. All were enthusiastic, and, in common with other Wanganui clubs, anticipated a successful coming season. In his remarks as newly-elected president, Air E. V. Laws said that the future of the Club appeared assured and he hoped for the willing co-opera-tion of all members. The report, as published in yesterday’s “Chronicle,” was adopted. The election of officers resulted: President. Air E. V. Laws; vice-presid-ent, Mr J. E. Wight; secretary; Mr T. Andersen; general committee, Messrs J. Caldwell, L. Joll, H. Brittain, IL Bree, E. Beckett, J. Carved, S. Giunt; Centre delegates Messrs. A. A. Wi-lis, A. W. Jones; match committee, Messrs L. Joll, J. E. Wight, E. Beckett.; green committee, E. Hutchins, J. Moorby, J. Gray, C. Hcinold, A. AV. Jones; auditor, Mr F. V, Connell.
