VALEICTORY I Special “Chronicle” Service. I A pleasing function took place at the residence of Air W. Kriven, when a party consisting of about 20 paid a surprise visit to bid farewell to Air and Mrs Kriven who are shortly leaving the district. Mr Kriven has for several years past been manager of the Ohakune Co-operative Cheese Factory and has just been appointed as manager of the Newbury Dairy Factory, Palmerston North. Air G. J. Goldfinch said that during the four years Air Kriven had been manager of the Ohakune Cheese Factory e.very satisfaction had been given and he had obtained the highest superfine grade the factory had ever obtained. They could not let Air Kriven go away without expressing appreciation of his services and to wish him continued success in his new appointment. On behalf of many well-wishers he asked Air Kriven to accept a purse of sovereigns as a token of the high esteem in which he was held. Air Prentice, Mr G. D. Blacklock, Afr J. Jones and Air C. Horne spoke in eulogistic terms as to Air Kriven’s services. Tn accepting th*’ gift, Air Kriven suitably rep'ied.
