ORDER OF ST. JOHN
HONOUR FOR NEW ZEALANDER [ Per Press Association J WELLINGTON, July 27. The honorary secretary of thu Dominion executive of St. John Ambulance has just received a communication from Colonel B. C. Bingham, Secretary of the Historic Order of St. John of Jerusalem that the Duke of Connaught and the Chapter General has, with the sanction of the King, admitted Mr W. W. Dutton, of Wellington, as a member of the Order of St. John for devoted service to tho Ambulance Department and its subsidiary Red Cross branch. Mr Dutton is widely known for his spirit of gratutous service to the sporting community and the honour referred to entitles him to wear the famous eight pointed star instituted by the Knight Baldwin 810 years ago, during the Crusaders. Sir Charles Fcrgusson is to be asked to present the insignia of the order to Mr Dutton.
