EXTRAVAGANCE OF BANKRUPT ALLEGED
OFFICIAL ASSIGNEE TO INVESTIGATE ACCOUNTS [ Pet Preas Association. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, July 26. Losses totalling over £4OOO were I made by George Wilcox, of Ashburton, garage proprietor, in two years’ trading, investigations into his affairs being made by the Official Assignee at a meeting of his creditors to-day. The biggest creditor was Dominion Motors I Ltd., £4366, for whom Wilcox had acted 1 as Ashburton agent. After hearing the statement, the Assignee said that bankrupt’s failure was undoubtedly due to mismanage. i.ient and extravagant living. Mr Nicholls, appearing for Dominion Motors, said that there had been gross extravagance and bankrupt’s expanation was unsatisfactory. On his motion the meeting was adjourned to enable the assignee to investigate the accounts further.
