THE WEATHER. Indications ar© for moderate to strong north to west winds reaching gale force in places south of New Plymouth and Napier; seas rough south of Cape Egmont elsewhere moderate in New Zealand waters. The weather will be cloudy unsttled and squally with rain in the eastern districts and south of Cape Egmont Otago and in the Cook Strait region; elsewhere mild and hazy at first but later unsettled with showers.
