AERO CLUB

FORMED AT BLENHEIM ENTHUSIASTIC gathering _ Per press Association ] BLENHEIM, July 4. An enthusiastic and crowded public meeting to-night decided amid applause to constitute the Marlborough Aero Club. Prior to the meeting it was announced that, the list of foundation members, which is limited io the first 100 members, had closed. A large number of new members were enrolled at the meeting and the total membership now approached 150, of whom 36 are trained members, including two ladies. At a subsequent meeting of the dub. the constitution as drafted by the promoting committee, was adopted; and it was decided to make immediate application for registration as an incorporated society. The meeting made public recognition of the Blenheim Borough Council’s foresight in providing a municipal aerodrome, which has been placed at. the disposal of the club. The Mayor of Blenheim, Mr W. MacKenzie. was elected patron, Mr A. R. Dix president, and B. D. Furness, vicepresident.
