ANOTHER PROTEST

EDUCATIONAL DISPUTE BOARD'S POWER OF APPOINTMENT ( Per Press Association J PALMERSTON N., June 26. The dispute between the Education department and the Wellington Education Board over the appointment of a head of the Wellington Training College gave rise to straight talk at this evening's meeting of the High School Board of Governors, when the following motion was carried: — “This Board strongly protests against the attitude of the Education Department and the Minister in attempting to upset appointments made by education boards, and is of opinion that power of appointment should be solely in the hands of boards: further, that the attempt by the Department to force its desires on boards by regulation is unconstitutional.”
