From the Mailbag

OPOSSUMS Sir, —Tn your paper appears a notice for the opossum season of Wanganui district. I would like to see and know, why they do not define their boundaries and not issue licenses to persona cut of their district to trap opossums, whieh was done last season, by persons to the detriment of Wellington district license-holders. Their season is .18 clays later than Wanganui opens, and they have a sale of opossum skins before we have a chance to trap one. AVill the Wellington officials advertise their opening notice, as they have a large area of country from the Wangaehu River, and. a fair number of license holders, to give a little attention and protection to? “FAIR PLAY.” Rata, June 26.
