ATTEMPT ABANDONED IRELAND TO SCOTLAND MERCEDES GLEITZ AGAIN [ Australian Press Assn. ] Receive ( d June 25, 12.35 a.in. LONDON, June 24. Miss Mercedes Gleitz’s attempt io swim the Irish Channel from Donachadee, County Down, to Port Patrick. Scotland was abandoned after she had swum 22 miles in six hours.
