RANGITIKEI GOLF CLUB Showery weather spoilt the match between the local club and Castlecliff on Saturday, but the visitors made tha best of things, and a keenly contested 16 games resulted in a draw, each club scoring seven wins, two games being halved. GENERAL NEWS The final of the euchre parties conducted by the Manchester Unity Lodge took place on Friday evening, when there was a fair attendance. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs Lew Homes and the gent’s by Mr T. Torrey, who played off with Mr Lin Homes. The points prizes were awarded to Mrs G. E. Jones and Mr 'D. Bromley. It was decided to hold another series of six euchre parties, which will commence on. Friday, Julv 6. A meeting of the committee of the Rangitieki Boxing Association will be held this evening to draw up a programme for the tournament, on July i 23. The secretary, Mr D. Hayes, attended the Manawatu and other boxing tournaments, and as a result is hopeful of arranging good fights from amongst the numerous applications received for matches. On Thursday afternoon nearly 100 cars, conveying over 300 people visited Flock House, under the auspices of the North Island Agricultural Association, and were conducted over the building and farm by the Hon. £. Newman, chairman of. the Flock House trustees. Great interest was taken in the institution by the visiting farmers, who commented freely on the activities witnessed.
