DIFFICULT WORK
MAKING A CABINET GERMANY’S POLITICAL TANGLE [ Australian. Press Assn. ] Received June 24, 5.5 p.m. BERLIN, June 23. Herr Mueller failed to form a grand coalition owing to the insistence of the People’s Party that a 10,000 ton cruiser must be built and that the Socialists should not dictate taxation legislation. Consequently he is now endeavouring to form a Cabinet of the Weimar Coalition, consisting of the Socialists, Democrats and Catholics, with Dr. Stresemann co-operating without committing the People’s Party.
