Beautiful weather prevailed for the second day of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s winter mjeeting. The course was in good order and there was a large attendance. The sum of £.15,076 was put through the totalisator, against £13,802 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting wfis £24,772, compared with £24,335 last year, an increase of £437.
