Sea-anglers’ capture in Britain during 1927 included a number of fine fish. One skate landed at Hastings weighed 124A1b. A 501 b soz tope —a fish which belongs to the shark family—was caught at Herne Bay.
East bourne waters yielded a 471 b. conger, and at Brighton a 221 b. lOoz. cod was secured. A monkfish of 40Jlb. rewarded an angler at Weymouth. A Spanish mackerel of 251 b. was landed at Coverack.
