DAIRYING EXPORTS

SHIPMENTS FROM DOMINION DECREASE LAST MONTH. The shipments of butter from New Zealand by vessels sailing finally in April totalled 223.731 boxes, compared with 311,758 boxes in April, 1927, a decease of 88,027 boxes. The total amount shipped between August. i, 1927, and April 30. 1928, was 2,503,113 boxes, against 2,200,882 for the correspond.ng period of the previous season. an ini icase of 307.231 boxes. The amounts shipped to various destinations last month according to returns issued by the New Zealand. Total.. . . 223,731 311.758 Of the butter shipped in April to the United Kingdom, the position at time of shipment was that 84.75 per cent, was consigned and 15.25 per cent, sold f.o.b. The cheese shipped last month to-, tailed 99,143 crates, a decrease of 21,373 crates compared with April, 1927. The total amount exported between August 1. 1927. and April 30, .1928, was 830 207 crates, against 785,319 for the corresponding period of the previous season, an increase of 44,888 crates. Total .. .. 99.143 120,516 Of the cheese shippad in April to the United Kingdom, the position at time of shipment was that 44.61 per cent, was consigned and 55.39 per cent, sold f.o.b. Shipments of butter from Australia last month totalled 104,120 boxes, against 46,200 in April, 1927. The cheese exported amounted to 228 tons, against 107 tons in April, 1927.
