IEILDING SALE FAT SHEEP SELL WELL [ Per i'ress Association J FEILDING, June 8. At the Feikting stock sale an average yarding was offered to a large attendance ox buyers. About 125 u fat sheep were forwand and. sold well under keen competition. The entry oi store sheep consisted mainly of breeding ewes and store wethers with a small yarding of store lambs. Breeding ewes sold firm at late rates with a slight advance on certain lines. Store lambs were in short supply and sold at late rates, while store wethers showed a slight drop. Prices were as follows: Eat sheep:—Lambs 35s 63, 365, 37s 6d, 39s 3d, 40s and 4Zs 2d, fat shorn b.i. lambs 255, 25s 6d, 295, 31s lOd and 325, fat woolly b.f. lambs 34s 6d, 38s 6d and 40s 9d to 455, fat shorn W.F. •lambs 325, 37s sd, and 40s ; fat ewes 25s Id, 275, 29s and 30s to 345, fat wethers 36s (id, 36s 9d, 37s and 395, fat blaok faces 30s 9d and 37s 6d.

Store sheen; —M.S. lambs 24s 7d, aged eweg l_s to 15s, ewe lambs 245, 2us 4d, 25s Cd and 26s 16, wether lambs 20s, 21s 3d, 21s 7d and 25s 2d, four and six tooth and four year ewes r.w. S.D. rams 38s, 4 and 5 year ewes ditto 30s 3d, 32s 16 and 33s 63, ditto r.m. Romney rams 24s Id and 30s 3d, 4 and 6 tooth ewes r.w. Cattle: —There was a medium entry of cattle, Jersey weaners and fat cattle being slightly easier. Dairy cattle and stores were on a par with late sales. Springing heifers £7 10s to £l2, cows in milk £5 to £7 15s, dairy cows (sprirg calvers) £7 to £8 7s 6d, Jersey weaners £2 3s, £3 11, £4 7s 6d, £4 Ils, store cows £2 17s, £3 ss, £3 18s to £5 12s 6d, two-year steers £5 14s to £6 2s 6d, S.H. heifers in calf £5 14s, fat bullocks £lO 2s to £lO 10s, fat Hereford heifers £9 15s, fat cows £4 17s 66, £7 12&, £8 ss, £8 16s to £9 12s 6d.

Ltd*., report having a moderate yarding of sheep at the Mangawcka sale on Thursday, which sold as below: —Small wether lambs 16s 7d, wether lambs 21s, small ewe lambs 19s 7d, 5 year ewes r.w. Romney rams 27s 2d, M.A. ewes r.w. Romney rams 2£s. MARTON SALE. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co. Ltd. report: At Marton on June 0 we had a good yarding of sheep and cattle, a large proportion being fats, and have to report a very keen sale at the following prices: Fat 2-tooth wethers 37s 4d; forward 2-tooth wethers 32s 9d; fat shorn wether lambs 29s 3d to 33s sd, fat b.f. lambs 255, 26s to 30s, ewe lambs 28s 6d, fat ewes 30s 7d. fat heifers £7 to £8 Is, fat cows £5 7s 6d to £7, forward cows £4 6s to £5, store cows to £4, springing heifers £6 to £8 ss, dairy cows to £6 17s 6d, light store pigs 17s to 21s. HUNTERVILLE SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd., report on the Hunt-rville sale as follows: Wo had a small yarding of sheep and cattle, but prices realised were in vendors favour. We quote: M.s. lambs 28s. b.f. lambs 26s 7d, empty cows £6, dairy cows £7 10s to £9. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op Distributing Co. Ltd. report: We had a good yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle and have to report a good s de, everything being sold at the following prices: Five-year ewes b.r.w S.D. rams 30s 3d to 32s 6d; small ewe lambs 26s 6d. fat b.f. lambs 28s, wether lambs 21s lOd to 23s 9d, small m.s. lambs 18s sd; 3-year steers £8 7s 6d, fat cows £6 8s 6d, forward cows £4 7s 6d to £5.
